Cambodian civilian homes in Kon Kriel commune, Samrong city, Oddar Meanchey province, were destroyed by the weight of Thai military shells, in a blatant violation of international law against Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Thailand launched an attack on Cambodia using F-16 jets and heavy weapons, damaging Cambodia’s infrastructure, killing many Cambodian civilians, and destroying many of Cambodia’s world heritage sites.
