Wat Kiri Mongkol O’Smach Temple was severely damaged after being shelled by Thai forces on December 12, 2025. This constitutes a crime against humanity committed by the Thai military while it has been and continues to carry out armed aggression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Cambodia. They have not only destroyed civilian infrastructure and fired upon civilians and their villages, but have also destroyed Buddhist temples.
