Following the strict orders of His Excellency General Sar Thet, Commissioner-General of the National Police, and with the guidance of His Excellency Lieutenant General Chiv Phally and His Excellency Lieutenant General Muong Sothea, Deputy Commissioner-General of the National Police, with the coordination of the Prosecutor of the Svay Rieng Provincial Court, on the morning of January 31, 2026, the National Police Special Forces collaborated with the Svay Rieng Provincial Command to launch a large-scale operation to crack down on online scams in Bavet City.
